
The Fabia has undergone a facelift which has seen a change to the design of the front of the vehicle. Vertical lines have been replaced by horizontal. New exterior colours and wheels have been added and the interior has been changed.The Fabia has come of age.
The range of petrol engines is comprised of four-cylinder 1.4 16V/63 kW engine and more powerful 1.6 16V/77 kW engine. This is a six-speed gearbox with Tiptronic, the option to change gears manually. All the engines can be combined with the fully-synchronized manual five-speed gearbox. It is distinctive for a short travel and precise, easy shifts. Almost no engine noise or vibrations are passed on into the interior.
The four-cylinder diesel engine 1.9 TDI PD with power output of 77 kW is also available for the new Fabia. With this engine it reaches a maximum speed of 190 km/h and the acceleration from 0 to 100 lasts 10,8 seconds only.

Many changes have been made to the interior, which have increased not only passenger comfort but also improved the functionality and handling of the vehicle.
The new four and three-spoke multifunction steering wheels allow for easier control of the radio or telephone, and the aesthetics of the interior have been improved by an instrument panel which offers new functions and controls along with new graphic design.
The air-conditioning control panels look better and have improved buttons. The new covers include the Domino and Chess designs and also the Drops Blue pattern

A design change has made the exterior of the Fabia more dynamic and robust. The horizontal line of the bumper with its new grill, the modified visor and bonnet and the newly shaped headlamps and fog lights fitted with a Day Light function have optically expanded the front section of the vehicle.
The palette of colours is enlivened with new Lava blue and Platin Grey. The offer of wheels now includes a duo of 16" Elba and Comet light alloy wheels and the new Comoros cover for 14" or the Satellite for 15" steel wheels. And for the first time the Fabia can now be ordered with a roof railing (in black or a black/silver combination).

Do you have bigger ambitions? The Ambiente equipment level will appeal with its black or grey Domino interior. The dashboard made of pleasant softened material offers the Maxi DOT multifunction display, and the speedometer and rev counter have an effective chrome frame.There are practical spacious storage spaces on rear of the front seats, with more storage space by the driver, passenger and in the doors.

For instance, in EU countries the ABS system including MSR and Dual Rate vacuum-assist of brakes power is now standard, and is naturally offered on the basic Fabia and Fabia Combi. However, the structure of other packets of electronic assistant stability systems has changed. The packets ABS Plus (ABS, MSR, Dual Rate, tyre pressure control) and ESP Plus (ESP, ABS, MSR, ASR, EDS, HBA, Dual Rate, tyre pressure monitoring, start-up assistant) are now available. Another new feature in the Fabia range is the hill hold control, well known from the Octavia, Yeti and Superb ranges.
The standard equipment includes airbags for driver and passenger and side airbags in the front with unfastened driver safety belt signal. The vehicle can be fitted upon request with head airbags.Another safety feature includes three-point safety belts (height-adjustable in front), head rests in the front and rear, space for attaching ISOFIX child seats on the rear seats, a fuel flow interruption system in the event of an accident, and other safety elements.
